Extreme Close-Quarter Handgun

Description

An introduction to the defensive use of a firearm against individual and multiple threats at close and extreme close ranges.  Emphasis is placed on developing the combat mindset, using personal weapons to create distance and protect the firearm, and weapon retention and recovery, using proven fighting techniques and strategies.  This course is ideal for civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel looking for a realistic and viable solution for the application of a firearm at close and extreme close range.

Note:  This is not a live-fire course of instruction.  This is a highly physical course that involves close physical contact with other participants and instructors.

End State

Given a prior working knowledge of marksmanship fundamentals and basic shooting skills, upon completion of this course, the student will have developed the basic skills to carry, deploy, and utilize a personal carry handgun against a violent threat, at extreme close range, within the context of the law.   Students will also leave with the tools to identify their personal shortcomings and a training template for addressing those shortcomings.
